Oppo- Does anyone have any tips on late 70s fiats? Theres one locally that appears to have most of the body work finished, but still needs mechanical, electric, and put back together for a decent price.

Update to my stable below (removed BRZ and 98 Cherokee for a 15 Sierra and a 15 RZR 1000 (the white one))

Are the RZR’s worth the cost?

Most restorations for that type of car requires more money than they’re worth.

Nice RZR, I hope to have one one day.

Buy, buy, buy! Malaise Fiat 124's are great cars, fairly simple to maintain and look great.

I’m on the fence with it right now. I love riding it and its a ton of fun, but I’ve barely had any time to do it so far. If you have the time to ride it, definitely worth it, I’ve just started traveling a ton more, and lost time to ride it. I’m hoping to change that this summer.

I’d love one for Tennessee. Hard to justify owning a nice off road vehicle because everything is brush.

Yeah, I figured I may not get out what i put into it, but it ticks a lot of boxes for a fun car (convertible, manual, easy to work on, etc) that could be a fun and relatively easy project.

I’m going to be giving him a call today/tomorrow. Thanks for being a good (bad) influence, hahaha.

Yeah, it’ll definitely get scratches and everything, but that’ll happen to anything. My brother has had his for almost a year doing mostly woods/trail riding, and he’s had 0 issues that werent caused by the driver, haha.

If you can find one with little to no rust, they are pretty easy cars to maintain...don’t own one, but they are fairly simple, mechanically. Parts are easily available as well!

I called about it Wednesday but haven’t heard anything back yet. I’ll try again early next week.

Yeah, it doesnt appear to have anything major from the handful of craigslist pictures. I’m not close enough to it until next week to take a look, but i’ll most likely try and see it (if they answer the phone).
